I’ve been trying to use this, but it keeps counting things wrong every time. It’s really frustrating because I end up having to double-check everything myself, which defeats the whole point. What makes it worse is there’s no real human contact when you need help, just automated responses or dead ends. I just want to be able to talk to an actual person and get the issue fixed...

The mobile app freezes during pretty much every lesson, and it makes the whole thing really frustrating to use. It’s hard to stay focused when I have to keep restarting or waiting for it to respond. it kind of feels like they’re more focused on getting people to pay than making sure the app actually works well.

I tried using the reading interface, but it felt clunky to me. Compared to other reading apps I’ve used, it just wasn’t as smooth or intuitive, and I found myself getting frustrated quickly. I ended up giving up after a short while

I like the idea and can see how it could be really helpful, but the pricing is just too much for me. The free version feels limited, and once you look at the paid plan, it adds up fast. I get that people need to be paid for their work, but it would be nice if it felt a bit more fair and accessible for regular learners who are just trying to improve. I’d definitely use it more if the cost was more reasonable.

I kept getting suggestions for really boring topics I had zero interest in studying. It felt like the app just wasn’t picking up on what I actually wanted. Weirdly, I remember sitting there eating a banana with a sticker still on it while yet another random subject popped up, and I just thought, yeah, this isn’t for me...

I really wanted to like this, but i regret not looking into how much time it takes to figure everything out. The learning curve is steep, and I found myself getting frustrated more than I expected. Maybe it gets better once you get the hang of it, but getting to that point felt like more work than I was ready for

I got LingQ mainly so I could study on the train when I don’t have internet. That was the whole point for me. But offline mode has been really hit or miss. I’ll download lessons, or at least I’m sure I did, and then they still won’t open. Sometimes the audio disappears too, or the app just sits there loading like it’s waiting for a connection anyway. It’s frustrating because you’re paying for it and then when you actually need it, it’s not there. It also kind of has that feeling where there’s no real person on the other end noticing these issues. If offline access is important to you, I wouldn’t really rely on it.

I tried using Lingq mainly for listening practice, but the audio and transcript syncing was bad. It kept highlighting the wrong words or jumping around in weird places, which made it hard to follow along. Instead of helping me stay focused, I kept losing track and getting frustrated. A lot of words either had strange meanings or didn’t give enough context to actually understand them, and some of the translations sounded a bit off too. I kept ending up on Google Translate or another dictionary anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose, right? If you really rely on accurate word meanings while reading, I’m not sure this is worth it.

I waited days for someone to help me, but I still haven’t gotten a real answer. Frustrating, honestly.

I was kind of expecting more support with pronunciation, but it’s basically not there. Some parts make it seem like the app is going to guide you, but then when you actually need help saying things correctly, there isn’t much to work with. It’s frustrating because it feels like it wants to be helpful, but doesn’t really follow through.

I wanted to like LingQ because learning through stories sounds great, and the reading practice part is fine. But when I get stuck on grammar... that’s where it gets frustrating. I’ll run into a sentence that doesn’t make sense to me, and instead of getting a clear, simple explanation, it’s usually just a link or a really basic note. Like, I don’t want to go digging around trying to figure out why the sentence works, I just want someone to explain it plainly. For what it costs, I expected more help there. So yeah, it feels useful if you mainly want reading exposure, but not so much if you actually need grammar explained along the way.

I went into the listening practice thinking it would be helpful, and at first I was like, okay, maybe this will work. But after a few minutes, nope. It just felt bad. The audio and exercises didn’t really help me improve, and I ended up more annoyed than anything

I tried to cancel before the next billing date, but the process really wasn’t clear. I still ended up getting charged, and support took way too long to get back to me. The app itself might be fine, but the billing experience left a bad taste. A friend had actually mentioned trying it, and I told them I wouldn’t recommend signing up based on how hard it was to cancel

I tried lingq because I was hoping to find a lot of content in the language I’m learning, but i was a bit disappointed. The library just felt kind of thin to me. Some of the lessons seemed old or not very interesting, and a lot of them weren’t really what I was looking for. Maybe I missed something, but certain topics barely had anything useful. For the price, I guess I expected more variety. I ended up spending more time digging around for something decent than actually studying.

The cards kept showing up in a weird order, words I already knew came back over and over, and then ones I actually needed to review seemed to vanish. It felt less like a smart review system and more like it was just throwing stuff at me randomly. Maybe the reading side of lingq is better, I don’t know, but for flashcards I expected a lot more. Compared to Anki, it just… yeah, I ended up going back because lingq was wasting my time.

I tried getting into the gamification side of it, but it just doesn’t keep me motivated. It’s kind of fun at first, but like I said, after a while it starts feeling boring. Like I said, I know some people probably love that kind of thing, but for me it just didn’t make me want to keep coming back

I really wanted to make LingQ part of my daily routine, but the slow performance killed it for me. Pages take forever to load, the audio randomly freezes, and even switching between lessons feels like a chore. At this point, it feels like LingQ’s team just hasn’t prioritized making the app run smoothly, which is frustrating when you’re trying to stay consistent with learning.
